Short answer: VidCruiter does not publish prices. Every plan is a custom quote, and third-party sources put the entry floor at about $5,000 a year, with the total rising for each module you add (live interviews, scheduling, references, skills testing, proctoring, the ATS). Reported contract terms include annual auto-renewal and 60 days written notice to cancel. The figures below are labeled by source, because none of them come from VidCruiter itself.

If you have a VidCruiter demo booked, the useful number is not one price but three: the module bundle, the implementation effort, and the cost per applicant at your real yearly volume. This page puts every public figure in one place and shows what the same budget buys with tools that publish their prices.

Two caveats matter. Costbench marks its VidCruiter record as thin, built on one verified source. And Willo, a competitor, notes that $5,000 is the entry point, not what a team using several modules pays. Treat the floor as a floor.

How much does VidCruiter cost per year?

Expect VidCruiter to cost at least about $5,000 a year for a single module at low volume, and several times that once you bundle video interviews, scheduling, references and the ATS. VidCruiter prices by module, hiring volume, integrations, compliance scope, implementation services and contract length, so two companies of the same size can get very different quotes.

VidCruiter's pricing page lists nine products, each sold alone or in a bundle:

  • Pre-recorded video interviews
  • Live video interviews
  • Interview scheduling
  • Structured interviews
  • Automated references
  • Virtual hiring events
  • Skills testing
  • Video proctoring
  • Applicant tracking system

A buyer quoted by Costbench described a mid-sized quote as several times the cost of tools with transparent pricing. That fits the product: VidCruiter is built for public sector and regulated employers who want one configurable suite, hands-on support and integrations with Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, ADP and UKG.

What drives a VidCruiter quote

Six things move the number, according to Costbench and Willo's review:

  1. Modules. Each product is priced separately. Pre-recorded interviews alone cost far less than interviews plus scheduling plus references plus the ATS.
  2. Volume. Hiring volume and active requisitions. The reported minimum assumes about 100 hires a year.
  3. Integrations. A deep link into an enterprise HRIS takes setup work, and setup work gets billed.
  4. Compliance scope. Data residency, accessibility and public sector requirements add configuration.
  5. Implementation. G2 reviewers report about two months to go live, with formal training. Costbench flags separate one-time setup charges as a possible hidden cost.
  6. Contract length. Longer terms usually lower the yearly rate, but you are committed for longer.

Is VidCruiter worth the price?

VidCruiter is worth it for employers that hire all year, run structured panel interviews, need automated references and want one vendor with strong support. Reviewers rate it highly (G2 shows 4.8 out of 5 from more than 240 reviews). It is harder to justify for a company that hires a few rounds a year and mainly needs to know who can do the job before booking calls.

Here is the same yearly hiring of 600 applicants, priced four ways:

SetupYear one costCost per applicant
VidCruiter entry floor estimateAbout $5,000 or moreAbout $8.33 or more
Spark Hire video interviews, annual$2,988About $4.98
Hireflix Small, $75 a month billed yearly$900About $1.50
Assessing AI Starter, 4 hiring months on monthly billing$196About $0.33

The VidCruiter row is a floor and does not include implementation. Spark Hire and Hireflix prices come from their own pricing pages, checked in October 2026. Our Spark Hire pricing breakdown and Willo pricing per role posts cover those two in more detail.

Does VidCruiter offer a free trial?

Sources disagree on whether VidCruiter offers a free trial. TrustRadius lists one, Costbench and SaaSworthy list none, and SaaSworthy's data dates back to 2019. The vendor's own pricing page only offers a form to request pricing, so plan on a guided demo with sales rather than a self-serve trial account.

How to get a better VidCruiter quote

If VidCruiter is the right fit, a few steps keep the quote honest:

  • Ask for the price per module. A bundle price hides which pieces you are paying for. If you never run hiring events, drop that module.
  • Get the renewal terms in writing. Note the notice window (60 days is reported) and put the date in your calendar the day you sign.
  • Ask what implementation costs. Training sessions and custom workflows can be billed separately.
  • Bring a comparison. Costbench rates "compare with alternatives" as a high-success negotiation tactic. A printed table of published prices does more than a vague "we are looking around."
  • Size the volume honestly. If you hire 40 people a year, do not let a 100-hire minimum set the price.

If the bundle you need includes interview scheduling, it is worth checking whether a lighter tool can do that part. An AI recruiter that books interviews covers scheduling without a suite contract, and you only pay for the step you actually use.

Where Assessing AI fits

Assessing AI covers the screening round, not the whole hiring suite. You describe the role, write or generate the questions (AI drafting from a job description is on Plus at $149 a month), add an audio or video recorded question, and send one link. Choice answers score themselves the moment the applicant submits; a person on your team scores the recorded answers in the results view.

Starter at $49 a month covers 15 new assessments and 500 responses a month with three seats, time limits, branding, CSV export, personal invite links, copy and paste blocking, pass certificates and optional webcam monitoring that takes still photos at the start and every three minutes with the applicant's consent. Pro at $499 a month adds a REST API and completion webhooks.

The honest limits next to VidCruiter: no live video interviews, no interview scheduling, no automated reference checks, no video proctoring (webcam takes still photos only), no AI scoring of recorded answers and no ATS of our own. If those matter, VidCruiter or a combination of tools is the better buy.

If what you need this month is a shortlist of people who can actually do the job, start on Starter for $49 a month and cancel between hiring rounds.
