Short answer: Willo has two plans. Willo Lite costs $59 per live role per month in the US, with no contract, up to 5 live roles, up to 5 users and 150 assessed candidates per role. Willo Enterprise starts at $3,799 a year on a one-year contract, drops to $3,419 a year on two years and $3,229 a year on three, and adds unlimited roles and candidates, SSO, 50+ ATS integrations and a dedicated success manager. Both figures come from Willo's own pricing page.

That replaced the older Growth ($249 a month) and Scale ($399 a month) tiers that many directory listings still show, so if a roundup quotes those numbers, it is out of date. Below is what each plan includes, what you will actually pay at different hiring volumes, where the price creeps up, and what the same budget buys elsewhere if your real goal is to screen applicants before anyone books a call. If you only need applicants to answer a few questions out loud plus a short skills test, our plans start at $49 a month.

What each Willo plan includes

Willo Lite is built for occasional hiring. You pay for each role that is live in a given month, so a single opening that stays open for six weeks costs two months at $59. It includes one-way video interviews, the assessment library, Willo Intelligence (AI summaries and benchmarks), email and SMS invites, 18+ languages, custom scorecards and branding, anti-cheat and 24/7 candidate support. The hard ceilings are 5 live roles and 5 users at a time, and 150 assessed candidates per role.

Willo Enterprise is the annual product. On top of everything in Lite it adds unlimited live roles and assessed candidates, custom assessments, 50+ ATS integrations, SSO and MFA, the Willo Verified identity service, 12+ months of data retention, priority support with a dedicated success manager and quarterly business reviews. "From $3,799" is the floor; a demo sets the real number, which grows with users and volume.

Add-ons on both plans: ID checks, right-to-work checks and background checks are sold separately on credits. Right-to-work checks are a UK requirement; US employers verify eligibility through Form I-9 and E-Verify, so most US buyers can ignore that line.

How much does Willo cost per year?

Because Lite bills per live role per month, the yearly cost depends on how many openings you run and for how long. Here is the math at list price.

Hiring patternWillo LiteWillo Enterprise (1 year)
1 role open for 2 months$118$3,799
2 roles open for 3 months each$354$3,799
3 roles open all year$2,124$3,799
5 roles open all year$3,540$3,799
8 roles open at onceNot possible on Lite (5 role cap)From $3,799

The break-even sits around 64 role-months a year. Below that, Lite is cheaper. Above five roles at once, or above 150 candidates on one role, you are on Enterprise whether the math favors it or not. For a high-volume role such as a call center or warehouse opening that draws 400 applicants, the 150-candidate cap on Lite is the limit you hit first.

Does Willo have a free trial?

Willo's pricing page does not advertise a free trial or a free plan. Enterprise goes through a demo and a tailored quote. Lite is the low-commitment way in: one live role for one month costs $59, which works as a paid trial. Candidates never pay to record an interview.

Willo alternatives compared on price

One-way video vendors price in three ways: per role (Willo Lite), per company size (Hireflix, Spark Hire) or per candidate credit (Truffle). The right model depends on whether you run one big opening or many small ones.

The full breakdown of Spark Hire's plans is in our Spark Hire pricing post, and the pre-employment assessment software pricing page compares eleven testing vendors on cost per candidate.

A skills test with recorded answers for a flat price

Many teams buy a one-way video tool because they want to hear an applicant before the phone screen, then discover they also need to check whether the person can do the job. That usually means a second subscription for a skills test.

Assessing.ai puts both in one link. On Plus ($149 a month) the AI drafts a role-specific test from your job post; on Starter ($49 a month) you write it yourself. Multiple choice questions score themselves the moment an applicant submits, and recorded answer questions let applicants answer out loud in the browser or upload a video, with a timestamped transcript for the reviewer. There is no per-role or per-candidate charge, so a call center opening with 400 applicants costs the same as a bookkeeper opening with 12. See how that works for high-volume roles on our call center assessment test page.

The honest limits: we have no live video interviews, no ATS integrations, no identity verification and no proctoring, and our video answers are uploads rather than an in-browser camera recorder. If structured video interviewing at scale is the core need, Willo Enterprise or Spark Hire is the stronger buy. If you would rather hand the whole first round to software, a tool that runs AI screening interviews asks the questions and follows up on its own.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Willo cost?

Willo Lite costs $59 per live role per month in the US with no contract, capped at 5 live roles, 5 users and 150 assessed candidates per role. Willo Enterprise starts at $3,799 a year on a one-year contract, $3,419 a year on two years and $3,229 a year on three, with unlimited roles and candidates.

Is Willo free for candidates?

Yes. Candidates record their answers through the link the employer sends and never pay or need a plan. Willo Lite even includes 24/7 candidate support. The same applies on Assessing.ai, where applicants open the link and answer without creating an account.

Can I pay for Willo month to month?

Yes, on Willo Lite. You pay $59 for each role that is live that month and there is no contract. Enterprise is sold only on one-, two- or three-year contracts, with 10% off for two years and 15% off for three.

Does Willo charge per candidate?

Not directly. Lite charges per live role and includes up to 150 assessed candidates per role; Enterprise includes unlimited assessed candidates. ID checks, right-to-work checks and background checks are the exceptions, sold separately on credits.

What happened to Willo's Growth and Scale plans?

Willo rebuilt its pricing in 2026. The Growth ($249 a month) and Scale ($399 a month) tiers were replaced by Willo Lite, priced per live role, and Willo Enterprise on an annual contract. Directory listings that still show Growth and Scale are out of date.

What is a cheaper alternative to Willo?

For a single opening, Willo Lite at $59 a month is already cheap. For several roles open all year, Hireflix at $75 a month billed annually or Assessing.ai Starter at $49 a month with no contract cost less. Assessing.ai adds an auto-scored skills test to the recorded answers but has no live interviews or ATS.
