Short answer: a DISC assessment costs about $69 to $150 per person in the US. The most widely used version, the Everything DiSC Workplace profile from Wiley, is $90 per person for 1 to 16 profiles at DiscProfile.com and drops to $73.50 at 134 or more. Management and leadership versions cost more, from $120 to $150 per person, and optional facilitator certification adds $3,795. Subscription tools such as Crystal sell DISC reports by the month instead, starting at $99 for five reports.
If you are budgeting DISC for a team workshop, a group of new managers or a hiring process, the table below lists what each common option costs per person, followed by the cost for real team sizes, the fees people forget and the one situation where DISC is the wrong purchase.
DISC assessment cost per person at a glance
| DISC product | Price per person | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Everything DiSC Workplace (Catalyst) | $90 for 1 to 16; $85.50 for 17 to 33; $81 for 34 to 49; $78 for 50 to 66; $76.50 for 67 to 99; $75 for 100 to 133; $73.50 for 134+ | DiscProfile.com |
| Everything DiSC Management | $150 for 1 to 9, falling to $122.50 at 80+ | DiscProfile.com |
| Everything DiSC Productive Conflict | From $120 | DiscProfile.com |
| DISC Insights online DISC report | $69; 2D report $89; 4D report $129 | discinsights.com |
| Crystal Assessments | $99/mo for 5 reports, $249/mo for 20, $499/mo for 50 (about $10 to $20 per report) | crystalknows.com |
| TTI Success Insights DISC | Quote through TTI or a certified partner | ttisi.com |
| Everything DiSC Certified Practitioner | $3,795 per facilitator, includes facilitation kit and 30 credits | DiscProfile.com |
The practical reading: for a team of 10 to 15 people, budget about $90 a head for Everything DiSC Workplace, or $150 a head if the group is managers. Below about five people a month, a self-serve report at $69 is the cheapest per head; above 20 a month, a subscription works out cheaper per report.
What the DISC price includes
A DISC profile is a questionnaire of roughly 15 to 20 minutes followed by a personalized report. The person is placed in one of four styles (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness) or a blend of them, and the report explains how they prefer to work, communicate and make decisions. With Everything DiSC on Catalyst, the fee also includes access to an online platform where colleagues can compare styles with each other after the workshop.
What the per person price usually does not include:
- Facilitation. Most teams pay a certified facilitator to run a half-day or full-day session. That is a separate fee, quoted by the consultant.
- Group and comparison reports. Team culture reports and pairwise comparison reports are priced separately by many publishers.
- Facilitation kits. If you run the workshop yourself, the Everything DiSC kits are sold separately; the UK distributor ITDA lists them at £995 each.
- Certification. Optional, but $3,795 for the Wiley Certified Practitioner course, or $495 for the shorter Everything DiSC Essentials training.
DISC test cost for real team sizes
| Group | Everything DiSC Workplace | $69 online report | Crystal subscription |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 people | $450 | $345 | $99 (one month, Basic) |
| 15 people | $1,350 | $1,035 | $249 (one month, Pro) |
| 40 people | $3,240 | $2,760 | $499 (one month, Max) |
| 120 people | $9,000 | $8,280 | $1,497 (three months, Max) |
The Crystal column looks cheapest, but it is a different product with less depth in the individual report and no Wiley workshop materials. If your managers are trained on Everything DiSC, buy Everything DiSC. If you want a quick style read on a few people, the smaller publishers are fine.
How much does DISC certification cost?
Everything DiSC certification costs $3,795 per person at DiscProfile.com for the Wiley Certified Practitioner program, which includes the Catalyst facilitation kit, an administrator account with 30 credits and the Everything DiSC Manual. A shorter Everything DiSC Essentials course costs $495. Certification is optional; you can buy and send profiles without it. It pays off only if someone on your team will run several workshops a year instead of hiring a consultant.
Is DISC worth the cost for hiring?
This is where many employers overspend. DISC was built for team development, and its publishers say so. Wiley's guidance for Everything DiSC tells customers not to use it to screen candidates or make employment decisions, and DiscProfile.com says DiSC is not recommended for pre-employment screening because it does not measure skills or aptitudes. TTI Success Insights says DISC can be part of a hiring process but cannot be the basis for a selection decision on its own.
The cost argument points the same way. Profiling all 60 applicants for one customer service role at $78 each is $4,680 for a single hire, and the result still does not tell you who can do the job. A short test built from the job's real tasks, sent to every applicant, answers that question for a flat monthly price. Our page on DISC assessment for hiring walks through how to combine the two: job test for screening, DISC on the last two or three finalists, which costs about $270 per hire instead of thousands.
If you want a Wiley assessment that is built and validated for selection, the product they point to is PXT Select, which costs $175 to $295 per candidate depending on volume. Our PXT Select cost breakdown has the partner tiers and the license option.
How to pay less for DISC
- Buy in tiers, once. Everything DiSC drops from $90 to $81 at 34 profiles. If you plan two workshops this year, buy the credits together.
- Profile the people who need it. New managers and teams with friction get the most out of DISC. Profiling a whole company for a single offsite rarely changes how people work six months later.
- Skip certification unless you will run four or more sessions a year. At $3,795 it is more than many single-session consultant fees.
- Keep it out of the top of the hiring funnel. Per person fees are fine for 3 finalists and expensive for 60 applicants.
- Plan the follow-up. Most of the value of a DISC workshop fades if nobody revisits it. Teams that already run onboarding through a training platform for onboarding and certifying staff often add a short DISC module there so new hires see their profile in week one.
A cheaper way to screen applicants before DISC
If the reason you are pricing DISC is an open role with too many applicants, start with the work. On Assessing AI you describe the job, the AI drafts multiple choice, written and recorded answer questions for it (AI drafting is on the Plus plan), you edit what does not fit and send one link. Choice answers score automatically; written and recorded answers wait in one view for your team. Starter is $49 a month for up to 500 responses, Plus is $149, both monthly with no contract.
The honest limit: Assessing AI is not a personality or DISC tool and has no validated personality model. It tells you who can do the job's tasks, and you can still run DISC on the finalists. For a wider view of screening tools and their cost per candidate, see the pre-employment assessment software pricing comparison, and if you are weighing a behavioral platform for the whole company, the Predictive Index cost page covers the $10,000 a year option.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a DISC assessment cost per person?
A DISC assessment costs about $69 to $150 per person. Everything DiSC Workplace is $90 per person for 1 to 16 profiles and $73.50 at 134 or more at DiscProfile.com. Everything DiSC Management starts at $150. Independent online DISC reports cost $69 to $129, and subscription tools such as Crystal work out to roughly $10 to $20 per report.
How much does a DISC test cost for a team of 10?
A DISC test for a team of 10 costs about $900 with Everything DiSC Workplace at $90 per person, or $690 with a $69 online report. Add a facilitator's fee if you want a workshop, which consultants quote separately. Group culture or comparison reports may also be extra depending on the publisher.
Which DISC assessment is best for a business?
Everything DiSC from Wiley is the most widely used DISC assessment for workplace training, with Workplace, Management, Productive Conflict and leadership versions and an online platform for follow-up. TTI Success Insights is common with consultants who bundle DISC with motivators. For quick, low-cost reports on a few people, smaller publishers and Crystal are cheaper.
Can I use DISC to hire employees?
You can use DISC as one input, but not to screen or decide. Wiley says not to use Everything DiSC to screen candidates, and TTI says DISC cannot be the sole basis for a selection decision. Screen applicants with a test built from the job's tasks, then use DISC on finalists to plan the interview and onboarding.
How long does a DISC assessment take?
Most DISC assessments take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete online. The report is generated as soon as the person finishes. Workshops built around the results usually run half a day to a full day, which is where most of the cost beyond the per person fee comes from.
Do DISC credits expire?
It depends on the distributor and the account type, so ask before you buy a large tier. The safest approach is to buy only the credits you will use in the next few months, since the per person discount between tiers is small, about $4 to $9 per profile.
